During Iftar time we usually looking for an easy recipe to make especially for snacks. Today I am sharing such an easy snack recipe. This Shawarma Cake can be easily prepared at home with available ingredients. As everyone knows Pola is a Cake like snack prepared during Iftar. This snack resembles the taste of Shawarma, hence the name Shawarma Cake.

Step by step method

Step 1
Take a large bowl add all ingredients listed under "For the Filling" and mix everything well with a spoon.
Chicken is fried by marinating with salt, turmeric powder and chilly powder.

For preparing the batter take a blender and add all ingredients under "For the Batter" except Maida. Blend for few minutes till it becomes little thick.

Now add maida and blend well.
The batter should not be very loose or very thick.

Add 2 Tbspn of maida batter to the filling mix and give a good stir.
Filling for the shawarma cake is ready.

Heat oil in a pan. You can also use a saucepan.

Pour half of the maida batter to the pan and level it with a spoon.

Spread the filling over the batter.
Preserve a little for the decoration.

Pour the remaining batter over the masala.

Sprinkle some filling and few coriander leaves on top.
Cover with a lid place it on lowest flame for 20 - 30 minutes.

After 20 minutes check with a knife.

Flip it and cook for another 2-3 minutes.
