Sharjah Shake
Is it a lot of shakes lately? It is only because i do care about the health of my foodie friends. Today i am representing one of the common and famous shake recipe that is popular in Kerala. The Sharjah Shake. I have been posting a lot of juice recipes also. The difference is that shake is the milk version of juice. Still there are milk juices also. But the thick consistency of the shake is more amusing than normal milk juices. Actually the recipe is by no means related to Sharjah, UAE. But still we called it sharjah shake. Don’t know why??! If anyone knows you can comment below.
Moving on to the recipe, the beauty of this shake is the simplicity of the blending of ingredients. This Sharjah Shake contains very few ingredients that are commonly available in every Indian kitchen. Banana is the key ingredient which is blended with frozen milk and horlicks powder for a taste along with sugar. Addition of Horlicks, Boost or Bournvita gives a unique mouth watering taste. It is best to use small kind of bananas for this shake. I have used njalipoovan (cultivated in my own home 🙂 ) and you can use any other baby bananas. So come on lets beat the summer together !
