We have seen many snacks made with thari/rava/semolina. This is a recipe I have borrowed from my mother. I have a lot of memories of her flavourful snacks. Thari unda/Thari Nulliyittathu is one of a common snack she made for our evenings when I was a kid. I had thari unda recently and remembered to add the tasty recipe to my yummy notes diary. It is a two-step easy recipe but the outcome is yummy. Thari/rava/semolina and maida is mixed with sugar, egg and cardamom powder mixture to make a semi thick batter and the spoon sized balls are deep fried to make a form of fried balls. It is better to try at home and taste yourself. You can store this snack for a long time.but it is better to have when it is hot and crispy. Anyways try it and let me know the valuable responses.
Blend egg ,sugar and cardamom powder very well.
In a bowl mix maida and rava, pour egg mixture to it and make a dough.
Take small bits of dough using hand or spoon and deep fry in hot oil until it turns golden brown colour.
