If you want to cook an easy and not so complicated rice this rice pilaf is a perfect one. This is one one of the easiest recipe of Rice Pilaf I have tried. You can alter the taste by adding more ingredients as per your taste. This is very basic recipe of Rice Pilaf.
Melt Butter in a pressure cooker. Add Cardamom, Cinnamon, Cloves to it and saute for 1 minute.
Add chopped onion to it until translucent. Stir in the washed and strained rice to it and mix everything well. No need to soak the rice. Pour 1 1/2 cup of water to it.
Add Maggi Magic cube or a half piece of one chicken stock cube to it. Check for salt and add more if needed.
Cover with the lid, put the whistle and keep the flame on high. Switch off the flame after the first whistle. Don't open the lid until pressure is fully gone. Keep the cooker undisturbed for atleast 15 minutes.
Fluff with a fork and serve hot.
