Prawns Curry/ Kerala Style Prawns Curry

- Prawns – 1 cup
- Onion – 1 big
- Tomato – 1 small
- Garlic and ginger paste – 2-3 tspn
- Green chillies – 2 chopped
- Coconut milk thin – 1 ½ cup
- Coconut milk thick – 1 cup
- Turmeric powder – 1/4 tspn
- Coriander powder – 1 ½ tspn
- Pepper powder – 1 ½ tspn
- Garam masala – ¼ tspn
- Fennel powder – ¼ tspn
- Curry leaves – few
- Salt
- Oil

- Heat oil in a pan. Add chopped onion, then garlic ginger paste. Saute for few minutes. Then add tomatoes, green chillies, curry leaves and sauté well.
- Add all powders and mix well then add thin coconut milk. When it starts to boil, add the cleaned prawns. Boil till the prawns are cooked.(Prawns need less cooking time.Cooking prawns for a long time will make it hard).
- Pour the thick coconut milk to it and rotate the pan. No need to stir with spoon. Switch off the flame when it starts to boil. Keep it aside. Serve with rice, appam etc.
