Orange Smoothie

I love orange juices. Right now we have a lot of fresh oranges in all over the market, so I went looking for a recipe to make an Orange Juice, using fresh oranges. I found the recipe of the orange smoothie and it is delicious!! There are thousands of reasons why eating an orange a day is a good idea; they are low in calories but full of nutrients, they promote clear, healthy skin and can help to lower our risk for many diseases and conditions as part of an overall healthy and varied diet. Orange trees are the most cultivated fruit trees in the world.

Oranges are a popular fruit because of their natural sweetness, wide variety of types and diversity of uses – from juices and marmalades to face masks and candied orange slices. This is a variety smoothie made with fresh oranges blended with yogurt and milk powder and sugar. This Orange Smoothie has a widely unique taste. We have already made it several times. My daughter beg for it! It is quick, easy and healthy…three of my favourite things:)

  • Oranges -2 ( peeled and broken into wedges)
  • Plain or Vanilla Flavoured Yogurt – 1 cup
  • Milk  Powder(optional) – 2 tbspn
  • Sugar to taste
  • Ice cubes – 7 to 8

  1. Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Immediately pour into glasses and serve.
