Orange carrot Juice
None of the canned juice can ever beat the taste of freshly made Homemade orange carrot juice. Unlike canned or ready made juices, this recipe retains all nutritional values of orange and it is not processed with harmful preservatives, which makes it a recommended fresh fruit juice for infants and growing kids. Apart from oranges, this recipe also uses carrot that not only adds nice zing to its taste but also brings their own healthy dose of nutrients.
Carrot juice, produced from carrots, is rich in beta-carotene, B-vitamins, folate, calcium, magnesium, potassium and iron. In a study published in 2003 in “Annals of Nutrition and Metabolism,” healthy males on a low-carotenoid diet consumed about 1.5 cups of carrot juice daily for two weeks, rapidly raising their blood levels of carotenoids and eventually leading to improved immune responses in these subjects. Orange juice is particularly rich in vitamin C, a vitamin with antioxidant properties that’s also important in collagen production, to support immune function, and in wound healing. It also promotes absorption of iron and calcium. People with iron deficiency are advised to drink orange juice with iron-containing meals. - Carrot -1 medium
- Orange – 2
- Sugar – as required
- Water – 1/4 cup
- Peel off carrot by using a peeler. Then cut it into small pieces.
- Blend these carrot and orange with water by using a blender.
- Then filter the mix. Add sugar as required. You can add more water if you required.
